About

Carroll County Library is a public library that is committed to promoting recreational reading, independent learning and community development. We offer a variety of children programming and adult programming including FREE computer classes. Another excellent service we provide are FREE Grab-and-Go meals for your children throughout the year. Our goal is to be a vital source to our community. We service all areas of Carroll County. If there is anything we can do to help you in your learning process, please do not hesitate to ask!

  • Over 28,000 materials in library collections, including books (w/ large print, honor paperbacks, Christian Fiction and Wester collections), audio books, DVDs, music CDs, periodicals (popular magazines and local newspapers) and educational resources

  • Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL), an online database including homework help, test prep, career/language tools, genealogy databases and more

  • Overdrive/Libby/R.E.A.D.S. the Regional Ebook and Audio Book Download System, which allows 24 hour access to a vast database of ebooks and audiobooks which may be downloaded to your computer, e-reader, etc.

  • Internet accessible public computers with printing capabilities. These include child computers pre-loaded with educational software and games (ABC Mouse and AWE Workstations). 

  • Interlibrary Loan Services, with access to materials in every library across Tennessee

  • Genealogy Room with access to Microfilm Machine and Microforms

  • One conservative (seats 8-10) conference room with Wi-Fi and Smart TV access available for meetings

  • After hours drop box

  • Copies, faxes, lamination, shredding, voter's registration, tax forms

  • Daily book sales with monthly specials

  • Adult programing, including special events, reference services (resume assistance, adult education materials, etc.), special classes, cooking classes, Coffee with Characters Book Club, group visits and more

  • Child and youth programs, including outreach, after school snacks, weekly programs, and monthly STEM/STEAM programs, book club and Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.)

  • TWRA Boating Exam test site

  • Carroll County Community Garden host site with a Seed Share Library for patrons to use.

  • Homeschool Resource Shelves with teacher guides, learning materials, reading kits, flashcards and more

  • 24-hour online catalog access - reserve, renew and search available titles online

  • Online Accelerated Reader Database

Computer Information

  • Nine adult computers, two children's computers ( 2 ABC Mouse Stations) and one Database Computer are available for public use

  • FREE computer classes offered annually

  • Thirty-minute time limit per person enforced if others are waiting

  • Access to TEL, Heritage Quest, Ancestory.com, Reference Resources, Study Materials, Juried Sources and More

Books & More

  • Books/adiobooks have a two week loan period, may be renewed one time

  • Movies on Blu-Ray or DVD have a one week loan period, may be renewed one time. (5 DVDs/Blu-Rays per account at a time)

  • We are a fine free library. No overdue fees (excluding HotSpots). Patrons will only be charged a fee if a book or other library material is lost, stolen. or damaged.

  • There is a 14 item maximum checkout limit per account

  • Copies start at $0.25/page for black and white, $1.00/page for color

  • Faxes are $0.50/page

  • Lamination is $0.75/sheet

Is a Carroll County native with a love for her community. She became the Director April 2022 and is looking forward to growing resources and services for Carroll County.  "I have a deep love and respect for my community and I hope that shows through future endeavors at our library".

Has been a Huntingdon resident since June 2003 . Her long career as a community steward continued when she became a member of the Carroll County Library staff in 2019. "I feel that we have built an awesome team here to serve the people of our community."
